Great photography and search too

The (not so new) inherent value of professional photography
by Graham McFarland
I have been using Bing, the new search site powerd by Microsoft, for about a month now and I can say that I am happy with its overall ability to help me locate, track down and generally find stuff. As an avid Google user I found that Bing does just as good of job, if not slightly better. But there is one thing that makes the Bing experience much better - beautiful photography.
I was pleasantly surprised by the great wide screen photo on the homepage the first time I used it. But to my surprise, each day the photo was different. I now look forward to going to Bing each day just to see the new photo. It enhances a ho-hum administrative task (searching) with the anticipation of seeing a great new professional photo each day. Now that's a search engine I can learn to love. Anytime I can spice up the work day with a little visionary delight while still accomplishing the task I would say someone has done a great thing.
I enjoy the great professional photos and appreciate Bing's attempt to be different and draw folks to a site that celebrates photography without making a big deal of it. It's a big deal to me and the reason why I have made Bing my default search site. Check it out at http://www.bing.com/.

I am liking Bing for a search engine too. I've enjoyed the great photography from the search page too. But, I never thought of it as a great way of seeing new images every day. Thanks for the perspective!
